Mr and Mrs A H Garner express gratitude to relatives friends and neighbors for their sympathy after a recent loss. Special thanks are given to the doctor and staff of Cobram Hospital for their care.
A 3SR led hospital appeal raised 2248 pounds for Cobram and area hospitals, bringing total station donations to 29,782 pounds 10 shillings 11 pence. Guests Mr Craig Dick and Mrs Farkus visited the studio, while MLA Mr J G B McDonald opened the day, with totals listed for Alexandra through Yarrawonga and other towns.

Officers elected span from Dr J Henderson to Mrs B Thornton, and resolutions called for insurance reform, reduced baling twine duties, and safeguarding private enterprise in petrol resale matters.
Strathmerton hall glowed with greenery leaves and balloons as 240 guests enjoyed a ball hosted by 40 couples on Monday night. Guests hailed from Frerrigar Finley Yarrawonga Katamatie Cob ram Numurkah Nathalia Stanhope with Thorn ton's orchestra and a buffet by Alan Cray of the Grosvenor Shepparton.
A haystack fire at Mr Carroll’s property in Yarroweyah caused little damage and was quickly brought under control by neighbors on Sunday afternoon.
Stanley Mervington testified in Cobram that Marxsen drove slowly and dimmed lights before a collision with another car. Witnesses described alcohol use, lights dazzled by oncoming car, and police notes showing defendant on the wrong side. The bench convicted Eaton and fined £10 with costs. a 14 day stay was granted.
