Oswald Harry Call died on Tuesday evening at 74 after long illness. He lived in the Cobram district 11 years after moving from Hamayy and engaged in citrus growing and darning with his friend. He was survived by a widow and family including William, Cherry, Mrs Bellis, Myra Carter, Daisy Mickey, Florence, and Nancy.
A fire on Monday morning in LalaIty destroyed a building occupied by J Furzet. Neighbors under a north westerly wind and limited water fought the blaze but could not save the structure. the Bushes Brigade and local residents arrived quickly yet the building was completely destroyed.
