Reverend Neil Scott and Mr. T N Harris and Family thank friends and relatives for sympathy and help after a recent bereavement. Please accept this as a token of sincere gratitude.
Mrs Nancy Kensington passed away Friday August 6 1954 at Wanganui NE. The family thanks Cobram and district friends for their sympathy and kindness during their great sorrow. Robin and Ren Kensington express heartfelt gratitude for support and condolences.
Numurkah High School held Education Week with a full church service and a 60 voice choir led by Mr Terrill. Open day drew 250 visitors as displays in Art Needlework Woodwork Domestic Arts and Science showed pupil progress and projects across forms.
Coral Monica Gestier and Kegin John McGrath married at St Michael’s Cathedral Wagga on August 14 with Nuptial Mass. Rev Father Duck officiated. Bride wore Swiss lace gown with pearl embroidery and a three tier veil. They will reside in Wagga with a Melbourne honeymoon.
Cobram riders prepare for the Cobram 100 with start at Seymour at 11 am and Cobram due at 3 30 pm. Traffic officers and local police coordinate from Seymour to Katunga to Cobram while Dr Cornish deputises for Dr Jordan on the platform at Punt Road. The event gathers 150 riders and notable guests including Hon J McEwen MH R and Mr G C Moss MLA amid pre race bustle.
