Australia faces a bottleneck in skilled structural engineers and machinery for a rapid production push. Government limits and scarce engineers restrain major works such as water conservation. The text suggests recruiting large American contractors for their superior equipment and speed.
The silver wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Shier was celebrated at their home "Boondi" Cobram with intimate friends. A Brentnall led Canadian foursomes 684 and won the men’s singles handicap with 71. R Long won on count back from G Wilton in first nine holes handicap, while A Taylor won on count back in the second nine. Mrs A O'Brien won the morning handicap 74.
Reports on Monday’s Progress Association meeting and the detailed scores from the golf tournament are held over due to pressure on setting time.
