Miss Ernestine McIIfame daughter of Mr and Mrs Ernest McHatte near Stilesville wed Thursday afternoon to Harry Tharp son of Mr and Mrs James Tharp of Cartersburg. Rev J E Sherry of Danville officiated in a quiet ceremony with only immediate relatives present. After a short wedding trip the couple will reside at Cartersburg where Tharp has a ready furnished home and is a prosperous young farmer.

Frederick Whicker born February 24 1833 in Hendricks County Indiana died November 23 1913 at his Stilesville residence after 80 years 8 months and 29 days. He was one of twelve children son of Freder ick and Elizabeth Whicker married to Louisa Dooley in 1858 mother of Clarence C. and Franz I. Whicker. After Louisa's death he married Martha A. Robinson and they had Mildred Mary. Surviving are his wife two sons five grandchildren and one brother Alen Whicker of Amo. Funeral conducted by Rev H G Ramsey at the residence with interment in Stilesville Cemetery.
George W. Louis born October 18 1845 in Madison County Kentucky died November 22 1913 in Fillmore. He married Plegia Durbin May 10 1870 and had two children Mary Lucy and James William. Mary Lucy married John Duncan and had Claud and Glen. After multiple marriages he left a large family and died after a short illness. The column notes prayer, church, and community updates including visits, nearby events, and upcoming bank discussions, plus a basketball game score of Fillmore High over Cloverdale 20 to 12 and various social notices.
