A Monroe county pig club distributed pure bred Spotted Poland China pigs to Boys in each township last Saturday. Each pig cost about 346 dollars and the gifts become the boys property with the condition that from the first litter two pigs must be returned to the club. One returning pig goes to another boy and he repeats the two pig return, aiming to breed real pure bred animals and profit in hog raising.

Lost purse on interurban car to Indianapolis
Lee Wilson misplaced his pocketbook containing ten dollars on an interurban ride to Indianapolis. After paying the fare he stored the purse in a pocket with a hole and did not notice the loss until returning home. He notified the traction company but has heard nothing, hoping an honest finder will return it. The purse held a lodge receipt showing the owner’s name.

Clara I Hathaway born near Mason City Indiana October 13 1861 died March 13 1917 at her Coatesville home aged 55 years 5 months She joined the Mason City Methodist Church at age 12 was educated in Mason City public schools and at a female seminary in Jacksonville Illinois She married Horace B Hathaway of Lebanon Ohio in 1879 seven sons and one daughter survived with the daughter dying in 1905 The funeral was at the Methodist church Coatesville with Eastern Star regrets and burial in Coatesville cemetery The poem He Careth was read at her request

Mrs Geo Farrow Dies in Indianapolis Hospital
Mrs Geo Farrow, 36, died after an operation in an Indianapolis hospital last Tuesday. Undertaker Lakin cared for the body and moved it to the L. T. Hurst farm home five miles northwest of Coatesville. She leaves a husband and three small children. Funeral set for Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with interment to follow.
