Roscoe Broadstreet of Rainbow Home and Rainbow division arrived home Friday after more than ten months overseas. He entered service Oct 6 1917 and trained at Camp Taylor Louisville Ky then Camp Shelby Miss before shipping to France. He served on four fronts driving a supply train under shell fire and watched German planes nightly. After armistice he went to Germany then returned aboard the Missouri to Newport News and Camp Taylor for discharge. He plans to rest and later take charge of his Broad Park area farm.

Ditched His Car Near Ellett Place
Clyde Masten met a mishap with his Ford last Thursday evening near Ellett place south of town. The car left the road into a ditch hitting a sewer wall north of the cemetery. the baby was thrown out but only slightly hurt. Front of the car damaged and axle bent.

Runaway Horse Wrecks buggy injuring four McCulloughs
Mr and Mrs Verl McCullough and four children were on the National road near Mt Meridian when a runaway horse on a steep hill caused a buggy crash. Two children escaped unharmed while the others suffered injuries including a daughter with leg injuries and Mrs McCullough with a concussion. One infant remained in the wagon and was unhurt.

Robbers broke into the C A Kelley store in Greencastle on Sunday night and carried away goods valued at about $1,000.
