A farmer suspects a neighbor lies about early rising. He visits at two o clock, finds the wife who says the husband had risen early but now is missing. The tale centers on mistaken schedules and morning chores.
Rev. C L Smock preached on Judas Iscariot from the Thirty Pieces of Silver tale. He warned that Judas’ craving for money led to betrayal and suicide, condemning heartless priests who distance themselves from sin.
A meeting of Group Four of the Taeianit Bikers Association was held in Indianapolis on Friday evening. The group includes Mivion county and neighboring counties plus Tiptor county. The Denver monetary commission staff spoke, with Wier ur Lowen delivering a keynote on the program. The assembly closed with pledges of support and a planned future gathering in September.
A committee plans a downtown celebration with a stand, street lighting, glee club singing, and speeches. Notable invitees include Rev. Wright of South Bend and Senator Ahanni of Plainfield. The event aims for August with date fixed by light system completion.

The Ladies' Bible class, organized with Mrs Chas Gambold as president and other officers, meets each Sunday morning at 9:30 and welcomes all ladies not in a similar group.
Weeks of anticipation end as the oil, ordered by the Citizens through the Commercial Club, reaches town. The sprinkler system is readied to begin operations but a failed attempt to draw the oil from its charge causes pipes to blow, leaving workers drenched. Repairs involve Standard Oil Company pipes. expected to resume by week’s end with city streets to be protected before Saturday.
Larrabee Lodge No. 131 passes heartfelt sympathy to sister West and family, notes beloved brother’s influence, and directs copies to Coatesville Herald and Wewanna Lodge for publication. Includes prayer for heavenly consolation and records entry.
J S Farmer son of Wm R and Nancy J Farmer died near Belle Union of cancer on June 26. He was born July 4 in Pulaski County Kentucky and moved to Indiana with his mother in 1866 near Greencastle. He never married and lived with the Nichols family who cared for him in his illness. He was beloved by many and fondly remembered by children and friends. his death ends a long hardship filled life.
The calendar event at the church included Meso Mhara Cherkon and various visitors with forty Tieipbers present. A lengthy discussion followed about festival plans and accommodations as guests enjoyed music by Miss Willis Bisant and refreshments.
Important meeting of stockholders to be held at the Commercial Club room Saturday afternoon at six to discuss wiring and preparations for the electric light system. All interested parties are urged to attend.
