Preaching and Epworth League at Coatesville Church Sunday

County Club Contests Set for Danville on Jan 14

County agent A. W. Torr informs Hendricks county youths of the County Club Contests to be held in Danville Tuesday January 14. Exhibits for corn sewing and bread must be in by January 11 and 14 respectively with bread due by 1 10 o'clock. Poultry club has no exhibit requirement. County Corn Judging will also occur that day with township winners entering. Cash prizes range from 3.00 to 1.50 for five classes. Exhibits to be delivered to Torr’s office on the square’s south side.

Passing of A S Newton Ward in Sheridan

A S Newton Ward former Coatesville resident died Monday at his daughter Ettie Fetrow’s Indianapolis home. Funeral and burial were in Sheridan, Ind. He lived in Coatesville for years before moving to Sheridan twenty years ago. A carriage painter employed by W N Lakin here he served in the Civil War. he was about 73.
