A meeting of Clay township farmers was held in Ame with Roy Edmonson chairing and W F Franklin present. Officials including Gov Goodrich and H E Barnard discussed steps to relieve the market and plan future county meetings to promote the organized effort. 160 Miles an Hour Flight Demonstrated Over Midwest Route
An army aviator team demonstrated travel at high speed last Friday when two DeHaviland planes with Liberty engines crossed Coatesville flowing 160 mph. The trio en route from Nouston Texas to Detroit Michigan stopped briefly at Belleville Illinois where one aircraft was disabled. Spectators said the speed was unmatched, noting 200 miles from Belleville to Indianapolis took two hours. The Houston to Indianapolis leg covered 1171 miles in 12 and a half hours.

Charley Kersey Dies After Flu Pneumonia Fight
Charley Kersey son of Mr and Mrs Amos Kersey of near Amo died at his city home Thursday morning December 26 from influenza pneumonia. He was about 30, worked in North Dakota, had been ill a week, and left a wife and three children. Funeral Friday evening with Rev John Hadley officiating, burial in the new Odd Fellows cemetery.

Death of Belle Union woman after fall and hip injury
Miranda McCammack of Belle Union died Tuesday morning from heart trouble following a fall a month earlier that fractured her hip. She leaves five sons and three daughters. one son is in France. Her husband died years ago. Mrs. McCammack was an aunt of townsman Harry Ifill.

Prosecutor Warns on Gambling Devices in Hendricks County
Prosecuting Attorney KKBE Owens of Hendricks County urges The Herald to publish a warning against gambling devices. Under Burns 1914 Section 2474 and Ferguson v. State the law prohibits punch boards and slot machines as gambling devices. Violations will be vigorously prosecuted.
