Report from Mr and Mrs J Lleet of the Children's Aid Association praises conditions at the Hadley Orphans Home Hadley Indiana after a two day visit in Indianapolis they return home. Careys praised as superintendent and wife winning good will and indicating quality care for children. Careys previously led the Westfield home in Indiana.
A countywide effort seeks to form a baseball league and set a definite game schedule for the upcoming season. Litton and Pittsboro showed strong interest last year and Jamestown may join with its established amateur team. Southside clubs show eagerness to play, while Hendricks domain residents could participate if conditions allow. North Seteoe The vealed.
Local attorneys push for a separate Morgan County circuit court or Morgan Clay counties superior court. A bar association committee, with Clay County colleagues, will lobby legislators. Opinions split between superior court and separate circuit. If a superior court bill passes, Governor Marshall would appoint a judge to hold court in the city and Brazil, with Democrats favored.

State Board of Health reports 57 more pneumonia deaths in January 1911 than January 1910. Total deaths last month 447, including 115 infants, 251 males and 206 females. Births in December 1910 totaled 4176 with 2121 males and 2055 females. White births 2075 males 2026 females colored 46 males 29 females. State birth rate 18.1 per 1000. Warren County highest at 34.8, Owen County lowest at 6.1.
The Rev Jos N Greene former pastor of the First M E church now serves in Watertown South Dakota gains top notice for his book The Gospel in Literature released by the Methodist Publishing House Cincinnati. It ranks among six best sellers in January and earns praise from the Western Christian Advocate and Methodist Review with Brazil also sending congratulations.
A Monroe county jury acquitted Dras Stannard of killing his father in law Marion Devene near Needmore last June after three ballots and a one hour deliberation. The verdict, read at 2 45 pm, followed witnesses detailing Devene’s quarrels and Stannard’s claim of self defense. Stannard plans to move with his family to California as his father is a wealthy farmer.

The Qraluvs sale was a success with rapid turnover and the Ladies Aid serving a dinner that brought in over 225 dollars and cleared about 20 dollars. Several villagers plan to attend the ongoing revival at Filmore, which has seen several additions.
Monday night visits and Sunday calls knot Little Point social life with residents such as Harry Warnoth Lloyd Tulie and Mrs Willie Leonel seen in Eminence. Sick lists include Mrs Tom Warmoth and Oral Warmth making rounds at nearby homes and the Red Men lodge in Eminence draws attendees.
Marion Soltit reports relatives in Muncie this week and many local residents visiting family. Names include Walter Meek Jonnie Newnan Charles Monitt Mabel Plicks and Mrs Lou Pads. Attendees spend weekends with kin near Eminence Greenfield Stilesville and Mt Meridian. Funeral for Francis Osborn noted at Stilesville.
Clayton reported social visits and moves across the area. Indianapolis residents Mrs. Wood Dr J B Carr and families hosted relatives while Roy Bray and Chancey McCormick joined local gatherings. Baptisms, property rentals, and moves to Vandalia line the week with multiple families visiting or hosting in Clayton and surrounding communities.
Seats are on sale at ROC for a production titled Millie the Quadrugn featuring Knight's troupe in a period show. Proceeds support local arts programs as tickets sell ahead of opening night.
