Marriage Notice of Frank Ellett and Lot tie Hall

Former citizen Frank Ellett and Miss Lot tie Hall wed at the Presbyterian parsonage in Holly Colorado. Lieut. Ellett of the Colorado National Guards, stationed in the Trinidad district, married last Wednesday with Rev Wiley K Wright officiating. The couple plan to reside in Holly once the strike trouble is settled and Ellett departs for his post.

At a stockholders meeting the Coatesville creamery was discontinued after directors were left to decide its future. Although the plant performed well, it never paid, and attempts to lease failed. High School Organization Plans County Invitational Events

High school superintendents from Brownsburg New Winchester Danville Clayton Amo and Litton met at the Claypool Hotel Indianapolis February 4 to organize an annual Invitational Track and Field Meet an Oratorical Contest and Musical. Each school may enter track and field events a contestant in oratory and two musical entries one vocal and one instrumental. Gold and silver medals will be awarded for first and second in each category with the first meet set for Danville on a later date. Prizes will honor top graded Common School graduates and county wide class standings with Senior Sophomore Junior and Freshman prizes for best grades

Pastor L A Beard of the Christian church delivered a strong missionary sermon last Sunday morning. He cited illustrations of three churches in different states that prospered under missionary effort, warning that without this spirit a church declines. He attributed worship here to ancestral heritage and urged world spread of God’s word to improve mankind.

The Thimble club met at Mrs. Marlon Grimes home on Tuesday the 20th with a large attendance despite the cold. Members made various fancy works and enjoyed refreshments. Guests included Medames Alexander Marian and Goodrich. Next meeting will be at Mrs. Claud Phillips on February 24 seeking strong turnout.
