Peru Ul High Upset Rochester High In 24 22 Victory

The reorganized Peru Ul high School basketball team defeated Rochester High School the northern Indiana champions on Saturday night by 24 to 22. The Woodfull Athletic Club beat the Business Boys' team 22 to 4 with strong teamwork led by Brown and Cristian. Lebanon High edged Monticello 25 to 12 in a rough game with many fouls. Fortville challenged Arcadia after a close loss, while local youth league games featured Central Christian beating First Presbyterians 20 to 0 and Fourth Christians defeating First Baptists. Crawfordsville High defeated Lafayette 44 to 9 as Perron and Seldenmmer led scoring. Purdue overwhelmed Rose Poly 70 to 0 and Culver Military Academy edged Crawfordsville 37 to 1. Parkersburg fell to Bloomington 13 to 0 in a fast, hard contest.
