J Drew Coffman a farmer five miles northwest of town won a judgment Thursday in Indianapolis over payment for a horse sold to Mr McGregory of Indianapolis. Coffman valued the draft horse at 150 dollars and contends it died after being driven hard for a long distance.

Mrs Rebecca Jane Howerton born November 6 1830 died January 23 1917 at the age of 86 years 2 months and 16 days She died at her daughter's home in Bridgeport Indiana and was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church at Coatesville Ind funeral services were held January 25 1916 at the Bridgeport Methodist church conducted by Rev L D Dodd and burial followed at Crown Hill Cemetery Indianapolis She was married to Daniel Howerton on September 2 1849 and leaves six living children Mary J Sharp Nancy E Randolph Rhoda L Martin George H Howerton William H Howerton and Georgia A Waters plus grandchildren and great grandchildren
