Bosque County Bond Election Outline Plan for new Law Enforcement Center
The county faces rising jail costs if the current facility remains open. A new Law Enforcement Center is planned in Meridian with a 64 bed jail, Sheriff Office, and Dispatch Center. Bonds not to exceed 9.9 million would raise about 735 thousand annually via a 0.06 per 100 property tax, lasting 25 years. The plan includes finishing capacity for 32 more beds and would end when debt is paid. Judge Cole Ward serves as spokesperson.

Court approves road closure and property abatements in Bosque County
Court approved the closure of a road over railroad tracks after discussion with CR3205. Abatement of two Lake Whitney Mobile Village properties was authorized, one owned by Bank of America and the other with back taxes owed. Abatement costs estimated at 3000 per property to be added to back taxes. Election judges and alternates appointed. Burn ban left lifted. Interlocal agreements with Bosque County Precinct 4 Clifton Youth for Sports and Clifton ISD approved. A surety bond for County Auditor Jane Murphy approved.
