Meridian County H D Council Meets at Library

The Meridian County H D Council conducted its meeting at the library with eight members represented and three in attendance. Minutes were read and approved, twenty one dollars on hand noted, and there was discussion on the Dallas Fate Exhibits. Clifton Fair Boosters Spotlighted by Gatesville Visitors

Coryell County notes say about 115 Cliftonites traveled to Gatesville on Wednesday with one Model T and several cars to promote the Central Texas Fair. A square-drill and a noon gathering at First Methodist Church featured Rev Hayden Edwards and local leaders, with Clifton High School band and an announcer introducing dignitaries.

Waco Trade Trippers To Visit Clifton Fair

A Waco delegation from Brazos Valley boosters will tour Clifton Fair tonight for a four hour visit. About 100 strong will travel with Was reo y and InvMatiGK to the annual exposition October 14 to 22. The group will reach Clifton with Baylor University band joining at Valley Mills to perform a concert during the nine mile trip and the fair. The trip is part of a larger goodwill effort by Waco organizers.

Rev J A Urnes longtime pastor of St Olaf Lutheran Church in Tranfils Gap marked his fiftieth anniversary. He served at St Olaf from 1020 to 19h and was head of the Ifton College Board. A celebration was held at the Rock Lutheran Church in Osage with many friends and former parishioners in attendance.
