Clifton man dies after heart attack on railroad tracks
Fann W. Jeanes, 10-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Louis Jeanes, died suddenly after a heart attack near Clifton while watermelons were sought for soldiers along the tracks. He was rushed to a hospital but died on arrival. Funeral services were held in Clifton with Rev J D Fant officiating. Burial at Fairview Cemetery. He had lived in Texas since 1886, moved from Elk to Bosque County, and later settled in Clifton. Survived by his wife and five children, with several grandchildren. Pallbearers named.
