Disaster area declared for Bosque amid drought and feed shortages

Farmers in Bosque County face severe feed and pasture shortages due to drought. The Farmers Home Administration, led by County Supervisor Robert A. Open House Honors Lawrence Tingness Jubilee in Clifton

Mr and Mrs Lawrence Tingness welcomed guests at 108 South Avenue Clifton for their silver wedding anniversary on August 25 1952. Their son and daughter Owen and David Ringness, also of Clifton, hosted the open house and marked their parents milestone alongside a third anniversary on the same date. The couple wed at Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend J K Rystad officiating and have lived in Clifton since. The late Reverend Rystad also married the parents of Mr Neland and the Neild family in the community.

Bloodmobile Clinic Planned At Baptist Church

Thursday morning auction results show Milling Wheat at 210 a bushel and Feed Wheat at 1.85. No 2 Barley 1.25, No 1 Eggs 206 per dozen, pullet eggs 20 cents, no. 2 eggs 20 cents, poultry demand weak. Local hens and fryers priced around 14 cents per pound for eight pound birds.
