B Anundsen Publishing Co of Decorah Iowa orders two bales of cotton for the Buy-a-Bale movement in Clifton Texas. They request price details resale costs and grade-based pricing and offer to publish a buyer list in The Decorah Posten once results are known.
West Texas October report states Mayor J W Riggins of Waco spoke to a local audience in a cotton suit. Citizens plan to present President Woodrow Wilson with a suit made entirely from cotton raised in the county and manufactured locally.
In Hillsboro Texas on October 25 a District Court jury found Lee Stacey guilty of shooting death of his stepson Joe Stacey near Aquilla seven months earlier. Stacey received a ninety nine year prison term.
