W Ruffin of Clifton reports he shot two sheep killing dogs in one night with his twenty two rifle. He woke to howling and sheep yells, saw blood on a brown dog at the muzzle flash, and aimed to shoot a second dog forty yards away, saying the shots were his only nighttime shooting in years.

Last Rites Held Monday For Mrs. C. M. Moore
The Clifton community mourns Mrs. C. M. Moore widow of Dr. Charles M. Moore. Born Amelia Bertha Albertson November 16 1860 in Tyler Texas she died October 1942 at her son Er A Moore's Clifton home. She leaves two sons six grandchildren and several siblings. Funeral services were held October 1942 at the Clifton Methodist Church with Rev. Wallace Dinnon and Rev. W T Gigward officiating. Burial followed in Clifton Cemetery.
