Bosque County court sets annual compensation and terms
The court kept pe tit juror and grand juror pay and set county and appointed official salaries matching last year. Court will convene second and fourth Mondays at 9 a.m. A road equipment charge of 105 per hour for abatements and 85 per hour for other work was approved. An agreement with Meridian for manpower and equipment at Bosque Bottoms was approved. A transportation interlocal with Bosque County Sheriff and Heart of Texas MHMR Center was approved. Continuing education certificates for Sandra Woosley and Dewey Ratliff were filed. Ratliff noted the burn ban remains lifted but cautioned against careless burning as dry air moves in. The court approved total monthly disbursements of 116846.38 against county and precinct funds.

Clifton High School hosts first community Kids Carnival
The Student Council of Clifton High School announces a two day Kids Carnival at Clifton High School gym on October 30 from 5 to 9 pm and October 31 from 2:30 pm to 5 pm. Tickets cost 25 cents per booth or 100 for $20. Activities include fortune telling hayrides pie throws and prizes. Volunteers can earn hours by helping setup and run the event contact Reagan Newman or Aaron Sims for details.
