Truck returns home after 82 years at Clifton car show

A 1928 Ford pickup once sold by A G Gilliam Motor Co to Gus Summerfield in Clifton returned on Oct 16 2010 for the FallFest Cruisin Classic Car Show. Now owned by Tom Harley of Piney? Tex the vehicle was refurbished by him and his wife. Mayor Fred Voicansek praised it for history and the Gilliam family attended the awards with three generations present.

Star Libraries Recognized in Central Texas System

The Central Texas Library System announced that four libraries in the system earned star ratings from Library Journal. Valley Mills Public Library received four stars and Lake Whitney Public Library three stars, ranking among libraries with expenditures under $50,000. Ratings based on circulation visits program attendance and Internet use.
