Clifton FFA Chapter earns its seventh Gold Emblem Award at the 28th National FFA Convention in Kansas City Missouri marking a South region record. Officers John Parks Von Kleinbrink and John E. Lockhart led the group with Kenneth Solberg among 117 in the FFA Band. Texas delegates near 300 arrived led by J A Marshall. Other chapters also honored include Iraan Silverton Nacogdoches and Whitesboro Livingston. Ezra Benson and Harold E Stassen addressed attendees as Texan officials and honorary American Farmer Degrees were awarded.

Local Merchants Stage Fall Style Show in Clifton

Clifton High School Library Grows With More Books and Staff
Clifton High School has expanded its library to over 4 500 books. It subscribes to three daily papers and The Clifton Record and receives 50 periodicals. The library includes 15 sets of encyclopedias, dictionaries, a film strip machine, and 16 library assistants who catalog index shelve and repair materials using the Cutter and Dewey systems.
