Funeral services for Herbert Armstrong 40 of Clifton were held at 2 p.m. Saturday Sept 19 at Clifton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev James Holland of Rock Creek Baptist Church Glen Rose officiating. Music was provided by Joy Mann and Sonia Hawkins. Pallbearers included Lynn O Neal Bill Pruitt Floyd Reynolds Morris Pollock S E Crabtree and Jim Ice. He was buried in Clifton Cemetery. He was the son of the late P M Armstrong and Mary Jane Stewart.

Armstrong Dies After Sickness in Temple Hospital
Armstrong a Glen Rose native moved to Clifton in 1979 and died September 17 1970 at Veterans Hospital Temple Texas after surgery and pneumonia He served in Korea earning the Korean Service Medal with bronze star and UN Service Medal He was married to Fannie Burns and survived by his wife three stepchildren and two brothers.
