Johnny C. Oswald received the American Farmer Degree at Kanaan Bay, awarded by the National Association of Future Partners of Anvert im. One of twenty-nine boys from Testa earned the degree. Oswald had graduated Clifton High School in 1940 and attended Clifton Indler Cottage and Deacon Deadahre College. He later earned a free trip to Bay seas City and a $25 award, but declined the trip to serve his community. He is with the United States Naval Flight School at Avstime, Texas.

Cadet William W. Vickrey son of Mr and Mrs J L Vickrey of Valley Mills Texas has successfully completed Basic Flying Training and recently graduated from the Marfor Army Air Field at Tucson Arizona He will proceed to Advanced Flying School then receive silver wings as an Army Air Corps pilot. Cadet Vickrey attended Mosheim High School Mosheim and North Texas Agricultural College Arlington Texas He was a member of Kappa Kappa Kappa college club before entering the armed forces.
