World Community Day Observed at Coyote Church
29 County women and two pastors gathered at Coyote Methodist Church on Friday November 3 to observe World Community Day with the theme Who Shall Separate Us. Organizers Mrs Gertrude Broyles and Mrs Nan Benson led prayers, the service included hymns led by Mrs Moorman and Mrs Bailey, and Rev Petrich gave the closing benediction. The offering supported the African project of Christian Causeways and layettes blankets and gift certificates were donated to be sent to Church World Services. Speaker Mrs Milton Brown discussed Nation Building and peace through the United Nations and encouraged peace building policies to be shared with the president. Mrs Calvin Reuter spoke on Christian Witness in International Affairs and ecumenical work overseas. The Board of Managers meeting was announced for Jan 12 1968 at Koppers Methodist Church, with World Day of Prayer planned for March 1 1968 at Meridian Methodist Church and Zion United Church of Christ.
