College youths injured in Clifton highway crash
Friday night October 27 four Clifton College students Joyce Nygaard Norene Nygaard Gene Pierson and Pvt Louis Turner Jr were hurt when their car wrecked on Highway 67 two miles west of Clifton near the Berkeland farm. Nygaard suffered a compound shoulder fracture others had bruises and lacerations. The car owned by Mr and Mrs Louis Turner Sr was insured for about $600 and sent to a garage for repairs.

A car carrying six Clifton men crashed about eight PM on October 29 four miles north of Morgan. Albert J Ledlow died at the scene. brother Cody Ledlow survived with broken ribs. others were bruised. Funeral services held in Clifton with burial in Clifton cemetery. Ledlow, born May 8 1903 in Coryell County, moved to Clifton in 1918 and was a member of Clifton Baptist Church. Surviving: parents J B Ledlow, two brothers Lige and Cody, and several sisters and nieces. Pallbearers listed.
