The Woman's Missionary Society held a Tuesday afternoon meeting at the church. Miss Pearl and Helen Richards, formerly teaching in Hager, New Mexico, visited relatives here last week. Ruth White, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack White, sprained her cheek in a fall Tuesday morning and received care from Dr. Blankerhahn. Breck Handley and family from Clifton, and Mr. and Mrs. Bee Jay's daughter and Mrs. Charlie Marth and family from Valley Mill, were noted visitors. Elizabeth Downey returned home with the Raines Saturday to spend the weekend. Davis Hutchison was called to Whitney to attend the funeral of a baby granddaughter.
A high school dance hosted by Mullie Nelson featured rainbow decorations in pink and white and refreshments, while attendees included Elizabeth Martin Lucyle Standeter Mary Coston Virginia Grantham and a long list of students. Local Lions hosted visiting Lions from Temple Mart Wara and Millsboro in Clifton Tuesday luncheon. Hanson, a Musuang farmer and educator with degrees from Clifton town and universities in Wisconsin Minnesota California, courts voter trust with decades of school experience in North and South Dakota and Texas. Local events include Miss Hazel Prather visiting Austin and Joe Grisland’s weekend in town as Howard Payne College student.
Our County Demonstrator Mee Mangold guided the group in an Italian hex craft and dress project for girls fourteen and over. Minnie Lee attended as a visitor. next meeting is Tuesday June 10 at the Wosnick. Reporter Mike Lotlie Bettisient notes Vernon visit and high school topic.

Alton Solberg Carl Swenson and peers honor valedictorian and salutatorian from Clifton High School class. Mary McElroy appointed vocational home economics teacher with certification from Denton Teachers College. The senior class announces scholarship and faculty changes, highlighting Mary Cunningham and Mary McElroy's departures.
