Eleven Million Annually for Feedstuffs in Texas
The Lumens of Texas lack cereals and forage for their farms and spend about 1,000,000 annually for feed stuffs. Federal census data cited by Peter Rydford notes cotton as the main crop, but advocates diversifying to keep feedstuffs at home and reduce imports. Local reports show average annual farm feed expenditure around $115 per farm with potential savings through crop diversification.
