Hoffmann Company Trial Readiness Delayed in Travis County
Austin May 24 Judge George Calhoun opened the State's $421,000 fraud suit against the Hoffmann Canatevetion Company as Attorney General Dan Moody attended. Moody said the State was ready for trial while defense counsel Judge R I Batt noted the firm would not be ready until key witnesses McRae and Conner could attend. the case reflected broader looming litigation pending in the Eastland matter.
