Local campaign vignette and community life notes
A fragmented reminiscence blends campaign chatter with personal anecdotes from West Texas and Mansfield. The piece mentions attendees like a lawyer speaker Drew Clifton and a jovial figure “Happy” King, recounting rallies, a tribute to a brother and family, and towns including Mansfield Arlington and Waxahachie. It also notes a funeral scene and a serendipitous encounter in a hotel lobby as a candidate distributes cards.
