Destructive hail and rain storm hits Boaque river area
A Friday evening hail and rain storm caused thousands of dollars in damage along the Boaque river strip. Wheat, mata, corn, and cotton sustained losses with fruit beaten from trees. Connolly & Co stores suffered water damage and broken depot windows, while Brooks building escaped major harm due to protection.

Valley Mills Wedding and Local Notices
Married at Valley Mills Me Dave Hihinnon and Mrs Irene Caethiron wed at the bride’s parents home in Valley Mills last afternoon at 5:80. A few relatives attended. Mr Robinson, Clifton resident, recently started work with the Santa Fe and has won many friends. They visited Clifton Monday and stay with Mr and Mrs Hoy Tennison. Local attendees included Mr and Mrs Frank Molten, Mr and Mrs Roy Tennison, Mrs J H Davis, Miss Jeanie Davin, Charlie Rodgers, and Rome Ellington. The death of Byrdie Terrell occurred a few miles south of Clifton last Wednesday morning after bouts of illness. He had lived in Crawford, then farmed nearby, and was buried in Snell cemetery amid family and friends. A note for the May 20th ice cream supper at Antone Nelson’s in Lathe. The Ladies Aid Society and Mr and Mrs O B Schow returned from Rochester Minn after medical consultation for Mr Schow Horace. The sanitarium advised rest over surgery.

Death of Mrs Thomas Carlin in East Clifton
Mrs Carlin died after several days illness at her East Clifton home on a Thursday afternoon. Rev W M Lewis officiated. She was in the prime of life with many friends in Clifton and leaves a large family and community sorrow.
