Sunday church attendance fell after a heavy rain and wind storm that damaged a few outbuildings. Local residents Mrs. J. B. Reeder and family, Mr. and Mrs. D. A. McMillan, and Joe Halton of Clinton plus Mrs. Crowell of Maine visited, with Jenee McMillan returning from Baylor University for the weekend. J. M. Widgite attended the County Board meeting in Meridian Monday.

Myr Petter Olsen born December 1 1860 died May 7 1080 at his Clifton home. He leaves a devoted wife nine living children grandchildren and many relatives. Funeral services were held from the family home Thursday at four then at Trinity Lutheran Church and burial at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery Clifton conducted by Reverend Roe and P E Thorson. In Gatenville near Avery ten miles from the city a store burglary occurred Monday night. Sheriff W W Hollingworth investigated Tuesday morning after four young men aged 18 to 24 were taken into custody and later released pending grand jury action.
