Alumni of Chariton College gather on Saturday April 1 1988 for a 4 pm free exhibition between Chariton College Cats and the Alamo at City Park. An 8 pm alumni banquet follows at City Hall with a formal business meeting at 7 pm.
Mrs Emilie Prescher aged 70, born in Germany and long time Bocque County resident, died Thursday at home after illness. She lived with daughter and son in law Mr and Mrs W Hampe at the Womack home place. Survived by children Paul Prescher Mrs H Zelimer Willie Prescher Mrs W Harpe Mrs W Nichol and Howry Prescher, one sister Auguste Kolser in Germany, 16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services Friday at home and Womack Church, Rev Baur officiating, interment at Frame Cemetery.
State expert J R Rosborough of Texas A&M College will lead a pruning thinning and budding demonstration at the C F Maney farm in Walnut Springs on Thursday May 12 at 10 AM. County Agent E R Lawrence organized the event to help Bosque farmers improve pecans and other fruit trees with practical do it yourself methods. Continued attendance is encouraged as thinning could double pecan production within a year.

Mrs. Mary Ann Tanner, 87, died at her daughter’s home in Waco at 12 10 p m Thursday April 28 Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ Waco with Minister W D Bills officiating and interment in McGregor cemetery Surviving are three daughters Mrs Moor and Mrs Herring of Waco and Mrs Adams of Meridian 27 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren The deceased was born May 11 1890 in Chapel Hill South Carolina and moved to the area earlier in life
The Presbyterian A O T C meeting was hosted by the First Presbyterian Church with the Presbyterian Wowaf's Auxillary. May 2 attendees included Deatetet Chairman Mini CR WHINE and guests Ware, Bablaven, Garallton. The program featured hymns and choir solos performed by Gi 1. Girter, Foyt and ANibary Ofteree.
