Olaf Bergstrom Dies in Cooper Community
Olaf Bergstrom a well known Cooper area resident north of Clifton died at home last Saturday after months of illness. He was about 60, leaving a wife and several grown children. Funeral services were led by Rev Theo Lerud of the Scandinavian Lutheran Church and burial followed in Clifton Lutheran Cemetery.

Houston man sets piano marathon world record
In Houston on May 1 T. J. Kennedy Jr. held a world best of 66 hours 22 minutes for continuous piano playing during an American Legion marathon. The event began Saturday afternoon, six Houstonians competed, and Kennedy’s last moment came at 8:27 am after his opponent quit at 2:29 am.

Walnut Springs plans a traditional celebration on the second Saturday in May with premiums for best poultry livestock garden produce and other farm goods.
