The Bosque County Interscholastic League Meet at Valley Mills drew praise for staff and hospitality. Clifton led the Class A tally with 137 points while Walnut Springs won Class B and Nerse the rural division. Notable results include declamation, spelling, music memory, arithmetic, playground ball, and senior track wins. The school showed The Story of Steel to science classes, aided by a $175 Devry projector donated by the PTA. The junior class stage play The Little Clodhopper is slated for April 6, and the Waco Xylophone Trio entertained for the band uniform fund. Two former pupils, Joseph Duke and Jardi s Colwick, died this week, prompting mourning across the school.
