Clifton Mayor Ed Handley proclaims Thursday April 8 as City Park Clean Up Day inviting all citizens and local farmers to join in the annual community effort. The note highlights years of cooperative spirit and calls for a grand, notable success.
Mrs. R. T. Womack traveled to Temple last Friday to stay with her niece Mrs. Barney Arther at the sanitarium. She arrived soon after Mrs. Arther underwent serious operations and has remained by her side since.
Jim J. Cooper born April 2 1868 died March 18 1926 at age 58 after flu illness. He collapsed while working at home of Oscar Johnson west of Clifton and heart failure was given as the cause. Survived by five children two brothers and seven sisters. funeral March 19 at 3 pm from Clifton residence with ministers of Baptist Methodist and Church of Christ officiating.

Mrs Antoinette Olson marked her ninety first birthday with family at her daughter Mrs M Shefstad’s home. The celebration featured a cake with ninety candles, gifts from grandchildren and great grandchildren, a telegram from Miss Martha Antoinette Holt of Waco, and remarks by Rev J L Spears. Out of town guests included Rev Spears of Austin and Mrs R W Slate, Casper Wyoming.

J M Jenson W D Miller and C E Carpenter seek re election with Ollie Bronstad filling the unexpired term of F K Bradstreet. The meeting adjourned after praising current city officials and the Booster Band performed nearby led by I M Solberg.
