Public School Notes by Supt E M Pharr urge well equipped schools with modern buildings and labs. A box supper at the school Friday night supports library and lab funding. Parent-Teacher Association plans proceeds to improve equipment while urging all parents to participate and attend.
A special mass meeting at City Hall nominated city officers for the upcoming election. Dr C Carpenter chaired, J K McSpadden was secretary. Unexpired mayoral seat to fill with Oscar J Red resignation. nominees Bo Handley for Mayor and Aldermen candidates John R Owensad, DM Bronstad, Juline Hinebuig were unanimously proposed as Clifton's best citizens.
Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Amun and children express sincere gratitude to neighbors and friends for help during the illness and death of their baby Alton Cari. Special thanks to Rev. Ler for officiating and delivering the funeral sermon which brought relief to their sorrow. May God bless all who helped.
Mrs Pearson, eighty three, died suddenly at her Clifton home on Thursday morning March 23. She had been ill but told her husband she felt better the night before. The family and friends mourn her. services to be held at 2 pm with Rev Nichol and Rev Barrett officiating. interment in Clifton. A large hall window in the Sia sonic Hall was blown out by the strong wind and signs damaged.
