Rattlesnake Gassing Demonstration Planned by County Agent
Four or five large rattlesnakes are being located by the county agent for demonstrations on March 27 and 28. The potion is supplied by the survey and a survey employee will perform the work in cooperation with the county agent. Gassing snakes is described as an economical method to kill all snakes in a den with a dirt-filled opening. Locals who know of a den with such an opening should report it to the agent before March 27.

Wounding near Hamilton sparks jail dispute over shooting

Fire Sweeps Dock Martin Tailor Shop Threatening Fricke Building
Last Tuesday afternoon a blaze tore through the Dock Martin tailor shop causing heavy smoke and near collapse of the Fricke building. Volunteers quickly fought the fire with chemical apparatus and water streams, injuring Mr and Mrs Martin who suffered facial burns while others fled to safety.
