In St Louis millinery shops the coming season introduces tailored hats both handmade and ready-to-wear. Easter arrives on the 23rd and women will delay winter hats until then. warm spring days will spur hat shopping. Trim styles shift toward browns and greens with other shades, plus black white pink and light blues, as shops urge early choice before demand.
Ribbons again dominate spring fashion, echoing last winter trends. Heavy quillings and shirted ruchings appear, with fifty ribbon designs braided and tied into simple bows on one side or fashioned into neat knots. Medium widths see strong demand.
Real y to wear hats shown with wire frames, silk ribbons and velvet trims. Prices range from 75 cents to 10 dollars, with Mrs. Quest and Miss Love promoting two weeks of trimmed hat deliveries for next week’s display.
G A Poulson announces sale of his lumber business and wagon yard to P E Schow and Bros of Clifton Texas for about 12000. He reports unloading 15 cars of top quality long leaf pine since January 1 and recommends Schow and Bros to patrons. He will be at the yard for settlements and notes payment.
