Bosque county livestock raisers won big prizes at the Fort Worth Fat Stock Show and the county social scene included extended visits from local families. Homer Preston of Valley and Mrs J W Allen of Roosevelt were named champions. Clifton and Lanes Chapel residents are noted among honor roll and community notices.
The Cayote column records weekend visits from M. H. Richards of Waco and J. M. Shivers of Moshelm. Mrs Buck Jay of Cleon visited her father W. Ht Richards, with Mr and Mrs Bryan Richard also noted in the area.
The perambulating well near Green Forest in Carroll County shifts position after a night of heavy rain and landslides. Mrs. James Paxton reports her ranch and home were moved as the well traveled, leaving her anxious but unharmed.
