Bruce Parks of Clifton led the judging team from Texas Tech in Fort Worth with top cattle judging honors and a high-point overall score. Oklahoma A&M won overall second. Texas A&M and Texas Tech earned other top spots. The Tech team departs Friday for the Oklahoma City stock show as classmates and residents celebrate Parks achievements.

For many years Clifton Paik holds its annual park day on Waschenday February 19. The event draws business men who close shores to clean the riverfront park, enjoy a dinner, and spend a day in recreation. Town men bring tools, rake clay, and prepare the park for the season. Mrs Harry Womack traveled to Disting for a few days during the event.
