Plan for Clifton Turkey Hatchery Aims 56,000 Poults Weekly
The firm plans a climate controlled Clifton hatchery to produce about 56,000 turkeys weekly for 42 weeks a year with 18 to 20 workers. Operations will use Stephenville crews for sexing, with additional staff for setting eggs, injections, wing clipping, and processing. The project includes purchasing farms between Clifton Mosheim and Cranfills Gap, and would handle 12,000 birds per hatch four times weekly.
