Citizens mourn the death of Tom C. Parks, Clifton rancher and banker, who died after a heart attack on Sunday February 20. Born May 20, 1887, Parks moved from the Slidon area to Clifton in 1907 and led the Farmers State Bank as president since 1985. Active in church, education, and community service, he leaves a large family and many friends. Services were held at the Movhisilist Church with a large attendance and tributes from local leaders.

Jim Robertson drowned in Meridius Lake after a boating accident. The 28 year old Meridian resident was a former student and longtime employee of the Community Cubic Service Co.
