Obituary for Mrs Orion Roberts of Cranfills Gap New Mexico born January 14 809 in Bosque County Texas. Survived by husband Orion Roberts two daughters Mrs Orvell Strickland and Mrs Valine Roberts, a son Orion Anjie, two grandchildren Orion Lee Strickland and Shirley Loraine Roberts, and many relatives. Services were held at the Hane Carlson funeral home Bogey community and St Olaf Lutheran Church with interment at St Olaf Lutheran cemetery.
The War Production Board grants Monday approval for Goodall and Wither Clinic Hospital to add to its present building. Construction starts in two weeks to extend one building by twenty seven feet and create a three ward area with new bunk beds, private rooms, and improved facilities. The hospital board urged the public to support the expansion to boost local medical services.
Clifton prepares for a county basketball tournament at the local gym on Friday and Saturday, March 3. Three Friday games begin at 7 pm with two more Saturday sessions starting at 1 pm and 4 pm leading to finals. County champion Clifton teams highlight the event, with admission prices set for fans to cheer the action.
A miscellaneous shower was held honoring the bride to be Miss Laur, who will marry Lieutenant W. A. Barry. Attendees included Mrs. Sabor and Mrs. Han, with guests from the community. The event featured Spring color arms, gift vests, and a guest book before departure from the hosts’ home.
