Mr and Mrs Raymond Roller of Weetney and Clifton were hurt when their car left a road and plunged into a ditch while returning to the highway Sunday night. Mrs Roller suffered severe facial injuries and was rushed to a hospital in Albanyboro where surgeons worked many stitches to close deep gashes. Mr Roller escaped with minor injuries and returned to Clifton with friends. The couple are active in Clifton Whitey baseball.

W G Abel Dies After Stroke At Clifton Farm
W G Abel, aged 79, died from apoplexy at his Clifton area farm shortly after 2:30 Saturday morning. He had a history of daily newspaper deliveries and was found by carrier Mollie Nelson and family members after collapsing at his mailbox. Born June 15, 1886 in Golmin Alabama, he moved to Texas as a young man and lived near Coryell Turnersville. Funeral services were held at the family home and interment followed at Turner’sville cemetery with many friends and relatives in attendance. He is survived by his wife and five children.
