Taree Jones won first place as a Mosheton If 11 Club demonstrator with Opal Arthec of Garnuraville H D Club taking second. The event, part of a county fair at Meridian, recognized skills in vegetable gardening and display.
On June 1, 1985 Meridian and Clifton played a game protested by Meridian. A prior meeting decided the game would be replayed, with Meridian winning 12 to 7 in the make-up. Rockway starred for Clifton, pitching and batting, while Knudson and Johnson supplied key hits. Time of game was 2 hours and 20 minutes.
