Borchers Attends Lutheran Church Meetings in Weeks Past
Doyle J. Borchers of Clifton, president of the Southern District Brotherhood of The American Lutheran Church, spoke at the Southern Conference Rally in Corpus Christi on May 27. He attended the Lay Theology Institute at Lake Corpus Christi June 1–2 and joined services at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Crawford on June 3, leading worship as Rev. A. R. Walker was away in Ohio for his father’s 50th ordination anniversary. Dr. Ernc Dahl of Texas Lutheran College Seguin also attended.

The Coon Creek Good Neighbor Club met on Thursday afternoon June 14 at 2:00 with eleven members and two guests present. Mrs. R C Womack presided, and Mrs. Downey demonstrated making picture plaques from crushed stone. Hostesses were Mrs. Lee Conway and Mrs. Mack Siepert.
