Clifton Farmers' Market will open on Wednesday June 16 at the southeast corner of FM 219 and Ave D in downtown. The market runs from 7 a.m. until sold out and features squash tomatoes blackberries onions flowers cucumbers and other produce plus baked items canned pepper jelly and pickled beets.
Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Norse welcomes Rev Ruth Hetland as pastor from First Lutheran Colorado Springs. She is joined by husband Chad and sons Owen and Jesse. Installation is set for Sunday June 20 at 3 p.m in the sanctuary with refreshments in the parish hall.
The Bosque Valley Heritage Society sponsors a 40 year old July 4 celebration in Santa Fe Park Valley Mills. A 9 30 a m parade starts at the ball park and travels Highway 6 to the park. The theater studio show Hank Williams Lost Highway shifts from June 12 13 to July 31 dinner theatre and August 1 matinee. All reservations moved to new dates. Central Texas Academy of Performing Arts in Clifton announces a four day Summer Dance Camp from July 6 to July 9 directed by Mandy Dudik. Morning camps for ages 7-10 run 9 to 12 focusing on ballet tap jazz and hip hop while afternoon sessions for junior and senior high run 1 to 4. Bosque County Farm Bureau hosts a Dairy Month gathering on Monday June 28 at the Clifton Civic Center with an Ole Fashion Ice Cream Social and the annual Miss Farm Bureau Contest and Talent Fund Contest. Contests begin at 6 30 p m with local scholarships awarded to winners and advance to district competition. Applications for contests are available from the Clifton Farm Bureau office at 254 675 6456.
