Bosque County Rejects Cotton Transfers in Referendum
Bosque County voters rejected transferring cotton allotments out of the county in 1967. Of 341 ballots, 239 opposed transfers and 102 supported. The mail ballot reduced effort and cost per vote, and within county transfers remain possible.

Willis Boyd Dies Here Suddenly
Willis Boyd, 59, of this city, died of a heart attack at about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Goodall and Witcher Clinic. He walked in seeking medical attention around 8:45 a.m. and died in an examination room. Funeral services were pending at press time.

North Fort Hood hosts the Clifton National Guard unit for the first annual summer camp of the 36th Infantry Brigade. About 4 000 guardsmen rehearse simulated combat, march four miles to a problem area, and endure two more 48 hour training cycles with meals trucked to the field.

Meridian Bosque County Turkey Growers Meeting Set
A Meridan Chamber of Commerce led meeting for potential turkey growers is scheduled for Friday June 24. Bosque County Recreation Facility Steering Committee Formed
An interim Bosque County Recreation Facility group met at the First Methodist Church in Meridian to form a steering committee. Members include C. E. Olson Jr. J. L.
